The Rapid City Journal, on Aug. 8, 2005, reported that a new biker bar and campground is planned on 600 acres located about one and a half miles north of Bear Butte to be called 'Sacred Gound'. It will be closer than the previously proposed shooting range.

We will be having a Prayer Gathering at Bear Butte at the Ceremonial Grounds on Saturday, Sept. 17, at 10:00 AM with a pot luck feed and discussion to follow at the Mother Butler Center, Haines and I-90 in Rapid City.  For more information call (605) 399-1868.
