Announcement:
Sustainable Nations Development Project, an affiliate of the Seventh
Generation Fund, has just recieved word that several of our international
students will be unable to attend. This has opened up four scholarship
places for students who are interested in participating in our program!
Sustainable Nations hosts an annual Native American Sustainable Development
Technology Program. This program includes intensive hands-on training in
renewable energy systems, sustainable building with an emphasis on
high-quality straw bale construction, and alternative on-site wastewater
treatment techniques. The focus of the training is our project development
component, in which we provide follow up development support, further
training, apprenticeships, and mentoring to ensure the success of
on-reservation small scale sustainable development technology programs and
projects.
We are hosting our second annual intensive training between July 29th and
August 6th on the Hoopa Valley Indian Reservation. Our hands-on work this
year includes a photovoltaic system installation, and a straw bale home
build.
